Every year, the festive spirit of Durga Puja brings life to Kolkata, and the West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC), Government of West Bengal, makes it even easier for devotees and enthusiasts to experience the celebrations. This year, as always, WBTC has rolled out its Puja tour schedule, offering a unique chance to visit the city’s iconic Puja pandals and beyond—by Volvo buses, regular buses, and even ferries.
The tours encompass the grandeur of Kolkata’s renowned “Bonedi Bari” pandals, but the experience is not limited to the city; the itinerary includes suburban and district-level Puja celebrations, travelers will have a truly immersive journey through Puja festivities in Bengal.
Starting from Shashthi, AC Volvo buses will take visitors through Kolkata’s elite Bonedi bari Pujas at ₹2,200 per person. For those who prefer the river route, ferries will depart from Millennium Park at ₹900 per person, offering a scenic waterway perspective of the celebrations. Suburban buses entering the city for these tours will charge ₹2,300 per person. Every bus, luxury or regular, includes meals—from breakfast to lunch—ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience.
Luxury and Volvo buses will take passengers through the city’s most celebrated pandals, with departures from Barasat priced at ₹2,300 per person and from Esplanade at ₹2,200 per person. Outside Kolkata, AC buses will bring visitors to grand Puja celebrations at Dhanyakuria and Arbalia Rajbari for ₹2,200 per person. Non-AC buses will cover Joyrambati and Kamarpukur at ₹800 per person.
