Flavours of Bengal Roll In: Haringhata® Launches Meat on Wheelz at Bengal Safari - GetBengal Story

In North Bengal, at the famous Bengal Safari, something new is happening. It’s not inside the animal enclosures or forest trails. It’s at a small food kiosk. This is where Haringhata®'s ‘Meat on Wheelz’ has set up. It is more than just a food stall. It adds something special to the visitor’s experience.

The smell of fried snacks and ready-to-eat food fills the air. This mobile kiosk is not just about taste. It shows how Bengal is changing. It brings local food and business together. It also supports rural growth and self-dependence.

Haringhata® is a brand by the West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited (WBLDCL). It works under the Animal Resources Development Department. Over time, Haringhata® has become a trusted name in Bengal. It sells meat, fish, eggs, honey, and more. The ‘Meat on Wheelz’ idea takes this to the next level. It brings fresh, hygienic food straight to people in public places like Bengal Safari.

The food is made for the Bengali taste. There are nuggets, fish fries, sausages, kebabs, and more. You can also buy ghee, mustard oil, and packaged water. But the real story is bigger. This kiosk makes Bengal’s food easier to get. It shows we can produce and share our own food. No need to import or copy others.

Mantu Das runs this unit. He started the ‘Meat on Wheelz’ (MoW) outlet at Bengal Safari, North Bengal, in April 2025. His kiosk is now very popular. Tourists and locals both love it. They trust the food and enjoy it, even in this far-off spot. More kiosks like this are opening in other towns. It shows that this idea works. It’s simple, useful, and rooted in Bengal.

This growth is quiet but powerful. There are no flashy ads or fake promises. Just good food, clean service, and local pride. Haringhata® is proving that Bengal can grow without losing its roots. The Bengal Safari kiosk is proof of that.
