How a child in Singapore misses Kolkata Christmas!

You better watch out, you better not cry
Better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is comin' to town
He's making a list and checking it twice
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is comin' to town

In the city of Bethlehem, the moon shined as bright as ever that very night on 25th December a God like boy was born named Jesus Christ.25th December is a special day throughout the world. Can you guess what special day is it?Yes,it’s Christmas the festival of love and brotherhood. But, nothing can ever be compared to Park Street’s Christmas celebrations.

Park Street Christmas celebrations is the only place I enjoyed with the most enchanting lights with those yuletide carols and not to forget the green- blue Christmas tree. Though I live in Singapore now, I still miss that Christmas fever of Kolkata. From children to teenagers and even adults participate in the melodious live music and band performances. The roads are illuminated throughout Christmas and are astonishing to see. Children are always excited to see Santa Claus in those bright- red suits and the long, bushy white beard coming on a sleigh with the rein deers and bringing a stack of gifts.Your wish comes true when Santa clause comes to give your gift. Hundreds of food stalls are set up along the pavement for selling foods but this year with a new twist each stall will be representing different states. Be ready for some finger licking good food. There are also DIY (do it yourself) stalls where you can make your own creations.

But most important is to see the six feet tall Christmas tree embellished with white crystal balls and vibrant colours of lights. But at the end it’s all the eternal love, affection and memories we get from other people.

Every gift which is given, even though it be small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection.
