Why are promising students of Kolkata’s best colleges committing suicide

Recently there has been a sudden rise in suicide cases among college students of Bengal. With the new academic session just started such cases of brilliant students ending their lives is quite alarming. From the meritorious Physics (Hons) student of St Xavier’s College who thought he cannot follow English in class and decided to end his life to the law student whose addiction to mobile games and his mother’s scolding led him to take his life, it seems student community is under tremendous pressure that forces them to take such drastic actions.
