CONGRATS! Kolkata’s nephrologist Dr Pratim Sengupta gets prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award

He has done 500 kidney transplants. He has used yoga with medicines to cure kidney patients. He has started Kidney Care Society to create awareness about kidney ailments. He has even led rural awareness campaigns to teach everyone about which food to avoid for kidney ailments and how to keep the kidneys fit through exercise and yoga. No wonder Kolkata’s nephrologist Dr Pratim Sengupta has been awarded the prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award. The award has been given only to 4 doctors from across India and is given in collaboration with the International Friendship Society (IFS) and Government of India. 

Dr Sengupta has worked in government hospitals like R.G. Kar and SSKM. He and his team has started several projects on kidney awareness and they are taking it to rural areas of Bengal. Not just that by following a healthy lifestyle through yoga and other exercises, Dr Sengupta has been successful in reducing the creatinine level of blood. His team is also creating awareness on
